Residency at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh:
A series of observational drawings of an oyster mushroom, Pleurotus ostreatus at different scales of perception (eyes and microscopes) emphasizes the limits of human senses and optical equipment to apprehend the morphology of a fungus. It shows mycological research in its mundane practicalities: a lab bench with its various tools, the cracks and damaged bits of a dried mushroom specimen, an air bubble pushing free moving spores in a microscopic slide mimicking their release in the wild.
