mycelium fever

Curiosity turns into passion turns into fever. My research project (like any PhD) has created biases, although researching around fungi seems to create particularly contagious biases. Entering the mushroom club may bring some sort of enlightenment on the connectedness to our environments and marvellous ecological possibilities. There is also a connection to a specific community nerding on fermentation, strange lifeforms and shroom jokes. There is a fine line between developing research on the topic and preaching the mushroom good word. To me, it sometimes feels like a skin mycosis letting permanent marks on my identity.

The illustrative series reflects on auto-ethnographic observations and consists of 3 watercolour A5 cards that can be composed freely to (dis)connect the web.
