Les Trompettes du Père [transl. Trumpets of the father] – 2022
A folded booklet about a wintery mushroom picking walk with my family. Foraging is a rural tradition and folk knowledge passed down from one generation to the next, social relationships build up because of these livings. The printing with risograph technique interprets photographs from the walk. Three ink colours relate to three layers of life entwined in this story: humans tracing their way as they scan the wood, trees with a thick layer of humus, and underneath fungi whose mycelium roots through the soil to sprout out mushrooms.
