Gourmandise and courtship of mushrooms grow with the laughters and mistakes of two novices learning the craft of porcinis preserving. Dedication to a long process til late in this autumn night will reward us with precious flavours over the year.

Episode 2: La Truffe de Noël. Bonheur, Craintes et Déraison
[in English: The Christmas’ Truffle. Joy, Fears and Folly]

The narrator finds herself charmed by the preciosity and beauty of the truffle, and multiplies culinary experiments with too little quantities to fully appreciate the new flavours. Her timorousness inevitably brings the delicate flesh to degrade slightly and the urgency to take a final bite in the black beast.
